Carolyn is an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher for a public school in Massillon, Ohio. She also teaches at college for aspiring ESL teachers.

She is married to Jin Stearns with whom she co-authored the book “Lost Seoul” in 2013 and is currently working on a children’s picture book of the story.
